Notes:  The Wheeler Pass Trail connects Cold Creek with Pahrump, Nevada. It branches off into several other small side trails and has off-grid camp sites scattered along the trail on both sides of the summit. You'll find lots of ATVs and side-by-sides on the Wheeler Pass Trail, along with Jeep Wranglers and other off-road vehicles. A high clearance vehicle is recommended, but it's doable with a stock vehicle; you may just need to maneuver around a lot of rocks and will be at a higher risk of scraping on some rocks. Wild horses and elk are often seen along the Wheeler Pass Trail and coyotes are often heard after dark. The summit gets quite windy and cold, but has incredible 360 degree views.

Trail conditions are always changing, so be careful out there and TREAD LIGHTLY.  Leave no trace. Pack in. Pack out.
